Alexander Zverev stuns Kevin Anderson in Vienna Open

Zverev reaches Vienna Open semifinals after defeating Anderson in straight sets.

Alexander Zverev continued his impressive form this season by defeating Kevin Anderson in straight sets to reach the semifinals of the Vienna Open. The German won 6-3, 7-6(6) in a match that lasted one hour and 44 minutes.

Zverev was in control of the match from the start, breaking Anderson's serve in the opening game. He held his serve comfortably throughout the first set and broke Anderson again in the eighth game to take the set 6-3.

The second set was much tighter, with both players holding serve until the tiebreak. Zverev eventually won the tiebreak 7-6(6) to seal his place in the semifinals.

Zverev will now face Borna Coric in the semifinals. Coric defeated Denis Shapovalov in straight sets in the quarterfinals.
