Bundil Makes Waves in the Shark Tank
Shark Tank Pitch Stuns Investors
Bundil's Journey to Success
When Bundil stepped into the Shark Tank, it wasn't just another pitch. Bundil is an app that allows consumers to automatically invest spare change from credit or debit card purchases. At the time of the pitch, two months into the app's existence, Bundil supported three major banks.
The app's founders, David Spears and John Bundil, impressed the sharks with their innovative idea and strong traction. Spears, a former financial advisor, saw an opportunity to make investing more accessible to everyday consumers. Bundil, a software engineer, created the app to automate the process and make it seamless for users.
The sharks were particularly impressed by Bundil's potential to reach a large market. "This is a huge market," said investor Kevin O'Leary. "There's a lot of people who don't invest because they don't know how, or they don't have the money. This app solves both of those problems."
In the end, Bundil secured a deal with investor Mark Cuban, who offered them $250,000 for a 15% stake in the company. With Cuban's mentorship and support, Bundil is poised to become a major player in the fintech industry.
